Maldonado one of five drivers handed penalty points

Pastor Maldonado was one of five drivers to be awarded with penalty points by the stewards following an incident-packed Hungarian Grand Prix. Maldonado was slapped with two points for three separate incidents during Sunday’s race at the Hungaroring, taking his total up to six for the year, half way towards a race ban. The Lotus driver had to serve two separate drive-through penalties for a clash with Sergio Perez and for speeding in the pitlane, while also taking a 10-second time penalty for passing Will Stevens behind the safety car. “It was tough race and the Stewarts were certainly very strict today, very tough on driving with me and many other drivers,” he said. “With Perez...
