Verstappen joins sim racing team
Toro Rosso driver Max Verstappen has signed with leading sim racing squad Team Redline. The 17-year-old scored the best result of his rookie Formula 1 season so far at the last race in Hungary, finishing in fourth place. With the summer break now underway, Verstappen has been confirmed at Team Redline, the world's most successful virtual racing outfit. Team Redline was established in 2000, mainly racing in iRacing, Assetto Corsa and rFactor. Its driver line-up includes GP2's Richie Stanaway, Blancpain GT racer Nick Catsburg and Audi GT driver Kelvin van Der Linde. 'I enjoy sim racing outside of Formula 1,' Verstappen said.
