Renault in talks to buy majority stake in Force India

Renault's future in Formula 1 remains an unknown, particularly when news that Red Bull is seeking an early termination of its engine contract came to light over the Belgian Grand Prix weekend. There has been strong speculation that a return to manufacturer status is the preferred option and that Lotus is its primary target, however Autosport reports that Renault bosses met with Force India for a second time, most recently on Saturday to discuss taking over the team. The Silverstone team is currently owned by three main parties - Vijay Mallya, the Sahara group and the Mol family - but its finances aren't the strongest, which has led to a few problems this season.
