Button speaks out on open cockpits and safety in motorsport

McLaren Honda driver Jenson Button has spoke out about his feelings on the future of open cockpits following the tragic death of his friend Justin Wilson. I was one of many drivers who said this is open cockpit racing, it should stay as open cockpit racing, I think we’ve all had enough now. Wilson lost his life last Monday whilst in a coma, following being struck by debris in an incident during the ABC Supply 500 IndyCar race the previous day.
