Malaysian GP to conclude 2016 F1 season?

The Malaysian Grand Prix could be in line to host the final race of the 2016 Formula 1 World Championship season in an effort to differentiate it from the Singapore Grand Prix on the schedule. The Sepang event, which recently had its contract renewed until the end of the 2018 season, has been positioned as one of the earlier rounds in recent years, but was shifted to a September slot for 2016 on the provisional calendar as part of back-to-back events with nearby Singapore.
