Arrivabene weighs in on the future of the Italian Grand Prix at Monza

Scuderia Ferrari Team Principle, Maurizio Arrivabene claims that 'there is a core of Formula One (circuits)' that need to be preserved, including Monza. Speaking during the FIA press conference at the Italian Grand Prix, Arrivabene was asked if Ferrari can allow the possibility of there being no Italian Grand Prix, ahead of speculation that the circuit is under threat from being axed from the 2016 Formula One calendar. The Italian Grand Prix has never not been a part of the Formula One calendar, with only one race being held outside of Monza once, instead in 1980 Imola held the Grand Prix whilst Monza underwent a revamp.
