Formula 1 pre-season testing brought forward

Pre-season testing will begin earlier than previously scheduled following the confirmation of a revised 2016 Formula 1 calendar. Teams have agreed that the opening four day pre-season test  held at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya will take place from February 22-25 a week earlier than the original proposed date of March 1-4. The change comes as a result of a F1 calendar reshuffle which has seen the Australian Grand Prix season opener brought forward two weeks to March 17-20. It has also been agreed that the second pre-season test at the Spanish circuit will be held from March 1-4 just four days after the first hit out.
