Michael Schumacher – 15 years on from the fulfilment of a dream
Thursday 8th October 2015 marks 15 years since Michael Schumacher claimed his holy grail of a much sought after Driver’s Championship with Scuderia Ferrari. Although another additional 4 titles were to follow with the Italian marque (to go with the 2 won previously with Benetton), Schumacher has repeatedly identified the 2000 Japanese Grand Prix as the highlight of a career more decorated than that of any other driver in the history of Formula 1. The German had begun his time with Ferrari in 1996 with a car that in terms of performance, was well short of what is required to win a World Championship. Despite this, Schumacher still managed to accumulate 3 race wins in his inaugural season...
