Smedley: Williams making progress with wet set-up

Rob Smedley, head of performance engineering at Williams, says the team is making progress with its wet weather set-up. The FW37 has previously struggled in the rain but he is confident steps forward are being made. Williams completed more running than most of its rivals in the wet conditions at the Russian Grand Prix on Friday. 'It was quite a stunted session today which stopped us from completing all of the work we wanted to,' Smedley said. 'We had planned to run in the wet but we had a strange situation this afternoon in that half of the circuit was much wetter than the other half which made most of the tests null and void.
