Vettel admits Ferrari made a mistake

Sebastian Vettel admitted Ferrari made a strategic mistake after going out in Q1 in qualifying for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The German driver will start the Yas Marina race from 16th position after falling 0.013s short of the Q2 cut-off time, having aborted his final run because he thought his time was good enough to go thorough. Vettel conceded Ferrari misjudged the laptime. "Nothing dramatic. It's very simple: we thought that the lap we had on the supersofts was good enough and in the end it turned out it wasn't," Vettel said. "We misjudged it and unfortunately we went out.
