Vettel: ‘Australia is one race of many'

Sebastian Vettel has downplayed the importance of the opening race of 2016, to be held in Australia. After banking a storming lap on prototype intermediate tyres during a late run at the Paul Ricard wet weather testing, and with speculation swirling about forthcoming power unit developments, hopes have been high around the Ferrari camp for the first offseason in many years. Yet despite team president Sergio Marchionne feeling that the team is within enough striking distance to realistically exhort his side to arrive in Melbourne with a winning car, driver Sebastian Vettel sees the season opener as just one race among many.
