Di Resta poised for return to F1 role

Paul di Resta is poised for a new role in Formula 1, amid mounting speculation that he will be announced as the reserve driver at Williams this week. The Briton has spent recent years focusing on a DTM programme after being dropped by Force India at the end of 2013. He made his debut for the outfit in 2011, scoring in his first race for the team in Australia and going on to perform well over the subsequent three seasons. But after losing his place for 2014 to Sergio Perez, di Resta was unable to find another drive in F1 so returned to Mercedes' DTM squad, with which he had won the championship title in 2010.
