Bahrain Grand Prix – Despite being a relatively recent addition to the F1 calendar with the inaugural race being run in 2004, the Bahrain race history has seen some notable events, although many of them off track. Arguably the race with most on track action was that of 2006. This was the first race of the season, having taken Melbourne's place as the season opener to avoid clashing with Australia's hosting of the Commonwealth Games.
