Sergey Sirotkin joins Renault as test driver, will complete FP1 in Russia

GP2 racer Sergey Sirotkin has joined the Renault Formula 1 team as a test driver and will run in first practice for this weekend’s Russian Grand Prix. The Russian, who races for ART Grand Prix in GP2, will replace regular Renault racer Kevin Magnussen for the opening practice session at Sochi on Friday morning. “This is a great opportunity for me, although it has all come together so quickly,” said Sirotkin, who has signed as part of a long-term development plan with Renault.  “I still can’t quite believe it.  “This is, however, the moment that all young racing drivers are working towards, and I am determined to learn as much as I can, as...
