July deadline for F1 cockpit protection decision

Daniel Ricciardo tested the ‘aeroscreen' during practice at the Russian Grand Prix Formula 1 race director Charlie Whiting has confirmed a decision regarding the implementation of cockpit protection will be made by July 1. Earlier this year the FIA announced plans to evaluate cockpit safety with the view to introduce a system for the 2017 season.
