Perez admits to future Indianapolis 500 ambitions

Whilst admitting that his career focus remains to be Formula 1, Mexican racer Sergio Perez has admitted that he would like to race in the Indianapolis 500 in the future. This year’s Indianapolis 500 around the famed 2.5-mile oval at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the 100th running of the event, and the current Sahara Force India driver admits that once his career in Formula 1 come to an end, then he would give serious consideration to running the Indy 500. Perez insists that he would only consider participation should he have a proper run at the event, including a good amount of testing to acclimatise himself to oval racing.
