Bite-size tech: Toro Rosso front suspension winglet

Intriguingly, Toro Rosso has beaten the rule book, with a new winglet mounted on the STR11's front suspension in Monaco. The winglet, although mounted on the suspension, sits in an area that can be defined as part of the brake duct from a dimension point of view. The winglet (arrowed) will help guide the airflow it receives from the front wing and improve the performance of the sidepods and floor downstream. We often see teams using winglets mounted to the side of the brake duct that sit at this distance from the vertical element but this is the first time since 2009 I can remember this implementation.
