Jordan King explains why GP2 in Baku was so chaotic

It’s fair to say that the Azerbaijan round of the GP2 championship wasn’t the sport’s finest hour. Both races were full of collisions, not least on the safety car restarts, and cars having to take to the escape roads. Yet when we tuned in for the main show of Formula One, there were barely any incidents. No safety cars were deployed, and we hardly saw the wave of a yellow flag. So why was there such a big difference between the world’s top two single seater categories?
