FP2: Rosberg P1 as the rain buckets down

Nico Rosberg claimed back-to-back P1s at the Red Bull Ring on Friday, as the rain bucketed down minutes after he clocked his 1:07.967. It was a busy start to Friday's second practice at the Austrian Grand Prix as the drivers ventured out of the pits with a 40 percent chance of rain in the session. However, on his out-lap Lewis Hamilton reported 'spots of rain on the visor' which was shortedly followed by a deluge. Although it initially appeared as if Rosberg's 1:07.967, set before the rain fell, would go unchallenged, Hamilton came back in the final minutes on a drying track to close right up on his team-mate.
