Ferrari strengthens turbo cover after Silverstone explosion

Ferrari has strengthened the ballistic cover of its turbo in a bid to put an end to recent problems with the unit. The Italian squad had issues with its turbocharger in the post-British Grand Prix test, when the unit exploded. For the Hungarian Grand Prix, Ferrari has introduced changes to the ballistic cover (circled in the photo above). The changes, however, have come with a weight penalty of around 2kg.
