Jolyon Palmer: “Today was pretty far from ideal”

It was another tough day in the office for Jolyon Palmer as the Briton completed only eighteen laps across the two free practice sessions at the Hungaroring on Friday after a fuel pressure issue heavily compromised his running. Palmer was forced to watch most of the first practice from the pits when his RS16 first developed the problem, and it took until well into the second session to get it fixed and get him back out on track for some more running. The Renault Sport F1 driver finished twenty-second and last in FP1, but was able to get within two-tenths of a second of team-mate Kevin Magnussen in the second despite only getting twelve laps under his belt compared to the Dane’s...
