FIA adds 'three strikes' rule for race in further track limits clampdown

The FIA has introduced a 'three strikes' rule in the Hungarian Grand Prix race for drivers abusing track limits, as it continues its clampdown. As Motorsport.com reported yesterday, motor racing's governing body has already told drivers that there will be a zero tolerance approach to the matter in qualifying. In a subsequent note sent to teams on Saturday morning, the FIA said any driver judged to have gone wide at Turns 4 and Turns 11 in qualifying will have their times deleted.
