FIA and Formula 1 bosses agree to scrap radio ban altogether

The radio ban introduced at the start of the 2016 season will be scrapped ahead of this weekend's German Grand Prix, following a meeting of the F1 Strategy Group on Thursday in Geneva. The FIA introduced the ban in a bid to ensure that a driver drives the car 'alone and unaided', but the rule has come under fire recently after Nico Rosberg was dropped from second to third by race stewards in Britain after he was given an instruction to save his gearbox. A race later, McLaren's Jenson Button was penalised with a drive-through after his team gave him information about his brakes.
