Bite-size tech: Toro Rosso STR11 sidepod changes

Toro Rosso has made numerous changes to the STR11 to improve performance going into the summer break, with one such change concentrated on changing the aerodynamic structures that surround the sidepod.   Toro Rosso STR11 sidepod details Photo by: Giorgio Piola The sidepod airflow conditioner has been twisted to face the front tyre more, protecting the airflows passage around the front face of the sidepod from the wake generated by the front tyre. A new section has been added to the upper section of the airflow conditioner so that it meets with the sidepods shoulder, framing it and improving how the air moves around the neck toward the rear of the car.
