Mercedes moved to prevent Hamilton penalty

– Mercedes says it acted to remove any risk of Lewis Hamilton being handed a reprimand over track limits during German Grand Prix practice.Hamilton has been hit with two reprimands so far this season, for reversing in the pit lane in Bahrain, and missing a bollard in Russia.Any driver given three reprimands in a season will take a 10-place grid penalty, though only if two or more were for driving infringements.At Hockenheim, a strict 'three-strike' policy is in place at the exit of Turn 1, with Mercedes tailoring Hamilton's activities to avoid trouble.Hamilton ended the opening day almost four tenths of a second down on team-mate Nico Rosberg, as Mercedes held a comfortable advantage...
