F1 Drivers' Association surprised by Halo postponement Grand Prix Drivers' Association chairman Alexander Wurz says that, he is surprised following F1 Strategy Group's decision to postpone the introduction of the Halo to 2018. On Thursday the F1 Strategy Group FIA unanimously voted against introducing the Halo design for 2017 Formula 1. Several F1 teams have tested the wishbone shaped device this season, and after a presentation to drivers at the Hungarian Grand Prix it was claimed that most wanted to see it installed on cars from 2017 F1 season.
