Sainz penalty undoes “very good” performance

German Grand Prix – Carlos Sainz Jr. feels his grid penalty has undone what he described as a “very good” lap from his perspective. The Spaniard received a three-place grid penalty for impeding Felipe Massa in Q2. He was driving slowly around Turn 2 when Massa arrived and lost time as a result, despite the Toro Rosso taking to the grass in an attempt to move aside. This drops him from 13th to 16th.
