Bitesize Gos – Alonso sits out

Fernando Alonso had a poor start to FP1, mainly because it was cut short thanks to power unit issues…   It seems the upgrades installed by Honda have gone un-rewarded for the McLaren team as just after 3 laps Fernando was forced to retire thanks to a water leak.   With both drivers entering the race on their 5th unit, it seems likely the team will face a similar penalty to that of Mercedes Lewis Hamilton, who will start last place because he was forced to use another unit.   (Teams are only allowed to replace said units 5 times within a season and once they get to their 6th they face a position penalty from the FIA)   Hopefully, the team can get the issue sorted...
