Renault’s Fred Vasseur: “I hope we can keep the stronger form”

Renault Sport F1 team principal Frederic Vasseur admitted that the first concerns for the team were for the well-being of Kevin Magnussen after the Dane’s huge crash at Raidillon. Magnussen lost control over the brow of the hill after Eau Rouge on the fifth lap and hit the barriers hard, but was able to extract himself from the car and walk away unaided, with only a cut to his left ankle, but Vasseur admitted it was a concern to see such a big crash for the Dane. “Our first concern today was with Kevin after his big accident in Eau Rouge,” said Vasseur. “He was able to leave the car unaided and was taken to the medical centre as a precaution. “He was responsive throughout but had...
