Wehrlein hints at Force India talks

Pascal Wehrlein has revealed that he has started talks with the Force India F1 team for a possible race seat in 2017. The 21-year-old, who was at the DTM finale last weekend, hinted that he has discussed the option of replacing Renault-bound Hulkenburg in 2017. “There is a seat left at Force India now so, of course, discussions have taken place, but let's see how it develops,' said Wehrlein speaking to the German Motorsport-Magazin. 'At the moment I have a contract with Manor this year and I am fully focused on this.” Part of the Mercedes young driver programme, Wehrlein was DTM Champion in 2015 and has impressed on his debut season scoring Manor’s second ever points finish.
