Formula 1 fans don't care about which specific tyre compound a driver is using according to Red Bull racer Max Verstappen, who says the system should be simplified. Currently Pirelli supplies seven different dry weather compounds; the Hypersoft, Ultrasoft, Supersoft, Soft, Medium, Hard and Superhard. Of those it picks three for each race weekend.
