Monza set to make changes to circuit layout?

The Autodromo Nazionale Monza is set to undergo renovations ahead of its centenary in 2022. To mark the occasion, the circuit will receive €100million to redevelop the venue including changes to the track layout. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, changes to the circuit include the removal of one of the first two chicanes with the second the most likely to make way. The aims of organisers are to remove at least one chicane and reintroduce the second corner of the Lesmo to reinforce its reputation as the 'Temple of Speed'. Additional grandstands are also in the plans to mark 100 years since being built, the hopes are also high that a new deal with Liberty Media will be reached...
