2016 Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg believes Vettel is more devoted to his craft than former Mercedes teammate Hamilton. Rosberg pipped Hamilton to the 2016 title when the pair were together at the Silver Arrows, the only year Hamilton has not been World Champion since the turbo-hybrid era began in 2014. Fellow German Vettel saw the best opportunity to dethrone the dominant Brit since in 2018, but a series of team and driver errors meant the Ferrari man faded away as Hamilton marched on to his fifth Championship.
