Helmut Marko: Red Bull take the blame for Gasly's poor result

Pierre Gasly drove just one hot lap in qualifying on Saturday morning and got caught out. The Frenchman will start from P17 in tomorrow's Australian Grand Prix as Red Bull take the blame. Red Bull adviser Helmut Marko took the lead after qualifying for the Frenchman and states that the fault lies with Red Bull. "I am not satisfied, but we were able to recover after we went in the wrong direction," Marko told Formule1.nl. “Verstappen performed optimally and the elimination of Gasly was a strategy error from our side. He couldn't help it. We have been sleeping. Pierre had to go out on a new set of tires." LATEST: Will Kevin Magnussen pick up a penalty?
