Sebastian Vettel hopes new evidence leads to case re-opening

Sebastian Vettel says he hopes the new evidence Ferrari will bring to stewards will prompt his Canadian Grand Prix case to be re-opened. Vettel was judged to have re-joined the track in an unsafe manner, in the process causing Lewis Hamilton to take evasive action, and was handed a five-second time penalty. Ferrari declined to appeal but instead invoked a right to review, under Article 14 of the FIA’s International Sporting Code. Canadian Grand Prix stewards will reconvene at Paul Ricard on Friday afternoon to hear Ferrari’s “new and significant element” that was previously unavailable to stewards.
