McLaren has no more F1 runs planned for Alonso

McLaren has no plans to put Fernando Alonso back in its Formula 1 car during the rest of the 2019 season. The two-time F1 world champion quit the sport at the end of last year but has remained in an ambassador and development role with McLaren, which including an outing in the team’s MCL34 at the first in-season test of 2019 in Bahrain. Alonso linked up with McLaren for his failed bid to qualify for this year’s Indianapolis 500, while he also contested the 2018-19 FIA World Endurance Championship super season with Toyota, claiming the LMP1 title and two wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
