Despite speculation over both Haas drivers' futures, Kevin Magnussen has insisted he is at a team where he can grow and develop as a driver. Haas has struggled in 2019 and are second-bottom in the Drivers' Championship. Magnussen and his teammate Romain Grosjean have both come in for criticism this season having had two collisions at separate races, with their incident at Silverstone causing them both to retire.
