Binotto promotion not linked to Ferrari issues

Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto doesn't believe his promotion from technical chief this season is linked to the team's reliability issues. The Scuderia have struggled to fight for wins for large parts of the season so far, though Charles Leclerc had a golden opportunity to score his first win at the Bahrain Grand Prix before being struck down with an engine failure. Both Leclerc and team-mate Sebastian Vettel have also been left out of place on the grid on several occasions after encountering issues, most recently in Germany where Vettel was unable to set a competitive Q1 lap while Leclerc failed to partake in Q3.
