Perez points to Pirelli tyres as cause of FP1 crash

Italian Grand Prix – Racing Point's Sergio Perez says his Friday was made considerably more difficult by an early crash in FP1. The Mexican driver was one of many casualties to lose control of their car during the wet start to FP1 on Friday morning. However, he was one of the few unlucky ones that ended up in the barriers after sliding around as he exited Ascari. Missing almost all of FP1 as a result and not setting a laptime, he made up for it in FP2 by putting in 33 laps and a best time of 1:22.882. 'Not a good day.' Perez said afterwards.
