Haas announced their split from Rich Energy on Monday after a bizarre 11 months as often uncomfortable bedfellows. With Rich Energy having previously attempted to annul the sponsorship, and Haas seeking £35million in damages as a result, the long-term prospects of a deal that had been due to run until 2022 have seemed shaky for some time.
