Valtteri Bottas takes victory at Paul Ricard-based rally event

Mercedes Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas claimed victory at this weekend's Rallycircuit Cote d’Azur event, which is based at Circuit Paul Ricard. Bottas has kept active in rally machinery through this year and made his competitive debut in January, taking fifth place at the Arctic Lapland Rally. Fresh from last weekend’s season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, in which he finished fourth from last, Bottas travelled to French Grand Prix venue Paul Ricard for the two-day event. Bottas, driving a Citroen DS3, was one of five entrants who used WRC-spec machinery for the nine-stage rally. The event takes place within Circuit Paul Ricard, utilising access roads, its training...
