Italian media declares: This is war

The Italian media has proclaimed that Mercedes, and basically every non-Ferrari powered team, has declared a 'state of war' against Ferrari and FIA president Jean Todt. On Wednesday Ferrari's rivals wrote an open letter to the FIA demanding an explanation for last week's 'settlement' between the Scuderia and the FIA. After months of investigating Ferrari's power unit, which rivals believed broke the rules regarding fuel flow, the FIA announced that it has reached a private agreement with Ferrari.
