Hamilton crowned Britain's richest sportsman of all-time
Lewis Hamilton has added another record to his already endless list with the title of Britiain's all-time richest sportsman. The six-time Formula 1 World Champion saw his wealth increase by £37 million over the past year to total £224m, putting him at the top of the Sunday Times Rich List with the highest figure in its 32-year history. The figure sees him overtake David Beckham's £200m earnings upon his retirement from football in 2013 – the list only includes active sportsmen and women, therefore Beckham, who has gone on to amass a fortune of £350m in post-sport investments is no longer included.
