No deadline to release complete calendar

Formula 1 is in no rush to set out the full 2020 calendar having released the European schedule. Earlier this week Formula 1 chiefs confirmed an eight-race schedule for the European leg of the 2020 season, starting in Austria on 5 July and ending in Italy on 6 September. The calendar includes two races at the Red Bull Ring followed by a Hungarian GP and then two races at Silverstone with Spain, Belgian and Italy wrapping up Formula 1's European tour. After that, though, there are no definite plans. F1 boss Carey had previously spoken about heading to Asia after Europe before flying to the Americas and ending the season in Middle East.
