Red Bull protege Vips gets FREC programme

Red Bull Formula 1 junior driver Juri Vips will contest this year’s Formula Regional European Championship. Vips has signed up to compete for Finnish team KIC Motorsport in the regional Formula 3-level series. The Estonian youngster claimed fourth place in last year’s FIA Formula 3 Championship, finishing as the highest non-Prema driver, taking three victories. He went on to take pole position and victory in the Qualification Race at the Macau Grand Prix before finishing runner-up in the main event.
