Ex-F1 racer Hulkenberg gets GT Masters outing

Ex-Formula 1 driver Nico Hulkenberg will make a guest appearance in the ADAC GT Masters’ Nurburgring round, his first competitive outing since losing his Renault seat. Hulkenberg started 177 grands prix for Williams, Sauber, Force India and Renault across 2010 to 2019, but was replaced by Esteban Ocon for the current campaign. Hulkenberg is understood to have been close to a Haas drive, and was in contention at Alfa Romeo, but both squads opted to retain their current line-up, leaving him without a seat.
