Hulkenberg stays at Racing Point, Perez still Covid-19 positive

Racing Point has confirmed that Nico Hulkenberg will continue to represent the team at this weekend’s 70th Anniversary Grand Prix. Hulkenberg was drafted in last Friday for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone in the wake of regular racer Sergio Perez testing positive for Covid-19. Hulkenberg qualified 13th but was unable to start the race after a sheared bolt meant that the power unit would not start. Racing Point awaited clarification on Perez’s situation, and the guidelines issued by Public Health England amid uncertainty on when its quarantine rules changed, and he was cleared on Thursday to return on those rules.
