Formula 1 teams issued warning over "stockpiling" plans

McLaren CEO Zak Brown is confident the FIA is on top of the issue of stockpiling parts ahead of the introduction of the budget cap in 2021. In a bid to reduce costs in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis, teams will run this year's machinery again next season. Article continues under video With a $145 million cost cap being introduced from next year, and with radically different aerodynamic regulations coming into force in 2022, Brown claims the "natural place" for teams is to spend now to save budget later.
