"Albon has the speed to win, but only at the end of the race"

Renger van der Zande sees a special type of racer in Alexander Albon. The two-time winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona thinks the Thai, who took his first podium last weekend, is more of an 'endurance racer'. Van der Zande explains why in an interview with De Telegraaf. "It seems as if at the end of the matches he suddenly comes out very hard and that he can draw matches to himself. At the end he was chasing Bottas, but at the beginning he is almost half a second short. And why is that? Because he just can't quite sit on it at the beginning of the race".
