Melbourne GP boss plays down Sydney F1 rumours

Oct.22 Australian GP boss Andrew Westacott has played down reports the country's Formula 1 race could move from Melbourne to Sydney. Local broadcaster 7 News claims 'high level talks' are underway with officials in Sydney, after Melbourne's state Victorian government axed the last two grands prix and will now mandate vaccines for F1's travelling circus. But Westacott, boss of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation, played down rumours of a street race amid the backdrop of the famous Sydney Harbour and Opera House, insisting the Melbourne event is 'not going anywhere'.
